This policy describes cookies and similar browser storage used on the website operated by Plastic Surgery of Austin LLC. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which explains how information provided through the website is handled.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small pieces of information that a website or service stores in your browser and that may be sent with later requests. Local storage and session storage also keep information in your browser, but are not cookies. Embedded services can make network requests and receive technical information, such as your IP address and browser information, even when no cookie is stored.

Storage used by our website

  • Language preference: local storage named psa-lang remembers your language choice. The website does not assign this entry an automatic expiry.
  • Accessibility settings: local storage entries beginning with psa_a11y_ save settings such as text size, contrast, and reduced motion, including default settings. The website does not assign these entries an automatic expiry.
  • Gallery age confirmation: session storage named psaGalleryAgeConfirmed remembers your confirmation during the browser tab's page session. It is separate from consent to cookies or tracking.
  • Administration: the psoa.sid cookie supports administrative sign-in and request security. It is configured with an eight-hour lifetime that can renew with activity. It is not required for an ordinary visit to a public page.
  • Hosting: website responses include a cookie named GAESA. In the configuration inspected for this policy, its browser expiry was approximately 30 days. This cookie is supplied through the hosting infrastructure rather than set by the website's own application code.

Local storage can remain until you clear it or your browser removes it. Session storage normally lasts for a tab's page session; browser session-restoration features can affect how long it remains.

Chat, forms, maps, and other services

  • LeadConnector chat: the chat service loads after an interaction with the page or after approximately eight seconds of inactivity. It can load before you open the chat or send a message. The service uses browser storage for session identifiers and history.
  • Symplast contact form: pages containing the embedded form load resources from Symplast and LeadConnector. The form uses browser storage for sessions and form events, and loads Cloudflare bot-protection resources. Information you submit through the form goes to the external form service.
  • Cloudflare protection: a cookie named __cf_bm was observed on domains used by the chat and form services. Cloudflare describes this cookie as supporting bot detection and expiring after 30 minutes of continuous inactivity. Cloudflare challenge resources within the form also use browser storage.
  • Google Maps: pages with an embedded map load resources from Google. Google receives connection information when the map loads and may use its own cookies or storage, depending on its service and your browser settings.
  • Fonts: the website requests fonts from Google Fonts, and the chat service requests fonts from Bunny Fonts. These requests connect your browser to the font providers; a font request does not by itself establish that a cookie is set.
  • External links: appointment booking, financing, and social media links lead to third-party services. If you follow those links, the destination's cookies and privacy practices apply.

Third-party services control their own technology and may change their cookies, storage, and retention periods. Their privacy notices provide additional information. The examples above describe the configuration reviewed for this policy, not an exhaustive list for every device, browser, or interaction.

Analytics and advertising scripts

A separate Google Analytics tag or advertising pixel is not installed directly in our website application code. This does not mean the embedded services are free of tracking technologies. The chat and form services use their own session and event storage. The embedded Symplast form also loads Meta's script; loading that script alone does not establish that an advertising pixel is configured or that advertising events are sent.

Your browser controls

The website does not currently provide a cookie accept/reject banner or a cookie preference center. Embedded services can load before you submit a form or start a conversation.

You can use your browser's settings to block or delete cookies, restrict third-party cookies, and clear local storage and other site data. Clearing site data can reset your language, accessibility, or gallery confirmation settings and sign you out of administration. Blocking cookies or scripts may affect chat, forms, maps, or other features. Cookies and storage may be created again when you return, depending on your settings. Blocking cookies alone does not prevent every connection to an embedded service.
